Not to do about nothing, but I would double check NYC's noise laws on motorcycle pipes. I recall reading that Bloomberg put into effect something like "If you can hear the pipes from more than 100ft (or yards, i forget which) away, it's ticketable".. idk if it ever passed or not, but i'd double check that before you go non-baffled and then start getting harassed. I know I can't ride to New Hope, PA anymore because of the noise ordinances in effect.. consider this thread hijacked :-D sorry
You can watch all of the videos you want too but none of them do the pipes justice. They have to be heard in person to really be appreciated.
I have to agree with this. there is no comparison to the real thing. They sound great while accelerating, but the decel sound is just out of this world. And if they are too loud for you, you can always add some big city thunder baffle later on.
so the baffled ones have the same descel sound also ? I always just jump into things I just want to be sure I am making the right descision this time.I am now running hooker long shots that I cut down because the long shots never really fit right from day 1 but for 157.00 bucks I cant complain they been on there for 2 years.I never felt like my bike ran right with these hooker pipes anyway is that possible.I have pc5 and auto tune in it
so i have a question... currently im running V&H true dual exahuast system. i dont beleive that V&H makes pipes that are as long or look as good as the Samson cholos. i would like to get the look of the Samson 39" cholos on my bike. so my question is could i add the 39" cholo slip ons to my V&H header system? would this work or even fit?
Here you go, check this thread out Sampson Tail pipes on V&H header. Do some searching too, there's a ton of information available and if nothing else, throw out a new thread. I don't think anyone would mind I think you'll love the 39"
