Ok Gents. I may be on the stupid side today, but I bought a True Dual Swing arm bag, and it didnt have instuctions. DONT LAUGH!!. Ive tried every way possible to put it on. I got it on the bike, but something doesnt look rite.
Has anybody bought one of these? I may just woke up retarded today. Hell I dont know. But when I have it on the Buckles look like they are in the wrong place. Any help would be appreciated. The straps are labeled as bottom front, and bottom rear, but the bag looks loose, and it sags.
I finally gave up on the straps and went with zip ties after wrapping the frame with electrical tape where the ties went. I used 3 ties for every slot and that bag is tight to the frame.
I could never get my bag on right. Sold it and bought hard bags when I want bags. No matter which way I did it I could only get 2 straps on and it was always touching the exhaust or 1/4" from the exhaust.
Yeah, I had a HELL of a time gettin the bag on. At first I tried it with the buckles on the outside, since it seemed to fit better that way. But it was just way too loose, and you cant tighten it up anymore. So, then I tried it with the buckle on the inside of the bag, and that did the trick. Got it tight and snug. Guess I just had a Brain Fart, I guess we have those from time to time. Overall the bag looks good, well made. A BIG thanks goes out to NIFKON,
AKA, MIke for selling me the bag that he didnt want. Thanks Mike....
SUPREMO, I will post some tomorrow. The bag looks good and even at ride height, then when you slam it all the way its off the pipe about 2inches. Not even close to the pipe. I think it looks good. Just a PAIN IN THE ***, to get the straps tight, but when you do, it looks good. The trick is to tighten the top 2 first, get them as tight as you can, then do the bottoms. That way the bag is level and close to the swing arm. When its slammed the bag goes with the swing arm, so it looks crooked, but a riding height its level and looks rite.
Oh, one more thing, I bought mine from Forum member NIFKON, because the bag wouldnt work with his rear crash bars. I noticed that you have those on your sled, he sold me his brand new one from Hog Deluxe because it wouldnt work. You may want to consider that.
