Can you chrome a wheel the same way you can chrom fork sliders? If fork sliders run about $150-200, what should I expect to pay for a wheel (assuming this can be done)? I'm looking at the stock PC finish on the FXSTS rear wheel. I like the design, I just want it chromed to match the chrome spoked front.
Advice to you , STAY CLEAR OF CHROME THAT HOG ! [sm=badidea.gif]
These people are first rate in all aspects , any questions talk to their GM , Patrick Curran , he would be more than happy to answer any questions you have . Also they have the BEST WARRANTY going , 3 years .
I ordered a chromed swingarm and pulley through CTH and was quite happy to recieve an confimation email from them with a tracking # and a delivery date of about a week later . Real QUICK ! Ten days later and no delivery , called CTH and got the I WAS SICK excuse , would ship it out today, two weeks later - still nothing ! Called them again , got a reply of " I will personally go to our chrome shop and pick up your swingarm and ship tomorrow ". A week later no tracking # and further responces from CTH . I'm a patient man , by now I'm starting to boil , called them again and got more lame excuses and promises of a free gift - a chrome shift rod . Told them , no thanks and please refund my money . Six weeks and every excuse except " my dog ate it " , I'm not that patient . PayPal was a PITA to collect from as they would only return $300 in a 30 day period and I had close to $500 coming to me .
I did however get the pulley after a month or so , before I cancelled the swingarm . The chrome looked good , but it is now starting to peel , I should have just bought the chrome cover from HD !
