She will certainly fly low... I had mine up over 80 plus keeping up with my buddies on I-49 for almost an hour with out letting up and still had more trottle left over
That engine is balanced and feels a whole lot better at speeds than my old evo FLHTCU

Again im not looking to do tripple digits at all, in fact i am most comfy doing around 60'ish at the moment since im new at it.
But i assumed some day id like to actually keep up with traffic, which is doing 80+ in some parts hehe.
When i was doing about 65 i almost got the sense that if i were to throttle it much more it would pin the Tach (if i actually had a tach lol) and just thought that obviously cant be good for the motor heh
Sweet spot on mine seems to be about 58-62 with not wind. Just real smooth, and the pipes have a better sound. But that's just a ride by the seat of your pants feeling.
I don't get on the big roads much living in the country like I do. Just state hghways with 55mph speed limits

Ours seems to want 60-65 as perfect speed in 6th, shes running about 2300-2500 rpms, but thats probably me more than the bike.
The 26h's makes about 15% more Tq at 2200 than she used to in stock form.
Im a new rider so im not pushing it hard at all, in fact i've only recently started even hitting the highways heh.
On my 04 flstci i sort of feel like she is comfortable going about 60-65 ... anything more is sorta pushing it.
Is it the lack of 6th thats doing it?
Not that i mind at all, again im new to riding and i really dont want to go very fast anyhow .. but i never thought a motorcycle would have trouble getting up to 80+mph
just thinking about it makes me shake hehe, but id like to know i can do it if i want to!! HA!
2004 FLSTCI with stg1 and pipes done. pipes are unknown as the last owner did them, i havent figured it out for sure yet.
Not sure if your final drive ratio is the same as mine on my '05 Dyna (also a 5-speed trans) ... you could look it up in your manual ....
... but, here are my calculations (with inputs) ... if your inputs are different, you could do a similar spreadsheet and see where you bike falls out ....
Your bike should be 'loafing' at 60-65 MPH ... I think the thing is that most people are accustomed to listening to the idle speed on a Harley, so 4000 RPM seems like it is really 'wound up' ...
It should be no big deal to run your bike between 70 - 85 MPH ... and as many have attested, much higher than that ... I routinely run 5-10 MPH (or more) over the 70 MPH freeway speeds all day long ....
I like knowing how my NT feels at the higher speeds. I can feel the G-forces, American Beauty pushes into 80's, 90's & 100's w/noticeable changes, but still is solid underneath & on the road. Still every bump, curve or onramp keeps you focused. Ride safe, enjoy the ride....
