hey guys i'am going to upgrade my engine this winter. but don't know what ot go with. I could go 95" s&s 510 cams, screaming eagle heads. Or just go with the 103" kit from harley. Need some help witch one will give me more power. Oh i ride a 05 springer classic if it helps.
I was looking into the same thing. I was told the 95 inch hot set up will get more power than the 103. The 103 is also considerably more expensive and requires machining. I don't remember the exact prices but the 103 was more than double the price of the 95.
you did not mention what year bike you are going to do this to if it before 07 i would forget the 103 this would mean splitting the cases and stroking the motor which is not recommended on the twin cam 88b. it would be noisy and run ruff and its not worth the price. the 95 big bore with cams and heads will do you right
05 springer classic. But i might switch to dave mackie 510 cams now i looked at the specs on them and they look really neat. Any first hand info on them would help.
I am doing a 103 stroker build now with SE 258 cams. You DO NOT have to split the cases if you dont go above a 103!! Will take me about 3 weeks working evening only!! Will let you know how it turns out!!
