Default Help me - confused like anything....

Namaste and Hello from India to fellow riders. Currently I ride a suzuki hayabusa, but I am planning to say it a final good bye and thinking to pick up a cruiser.

Well here comes the real deal, I am really confused, as I can't decide which crusier should I buy, tie is in between Harley Davidson Fatboy (Harley came into India in 2010) and soon to be launched Triumph Thunderbird Storm (launching in 2012).

Now, I want to know how good is Fatboy when it comes to handling, reliability and is the ground clearance too low?, between I love its killer looks.

On the other hand Triumph Thunderbird Storm is upgraded version of Triumph Thunderbird, which was bike of the year 2010. Have read all over about it and it is continuously topping all charts, when compared to other bikes (though I never found any comparison between these two bikes).

I need a comfortable cruiser which I can ride for 3k to 4k Kilometers, should be comfortable and peppy enough for fast takeovers.

Really appreciate your input.

THERE ARE ONLY 2 KINDS OF BIKES, METRICS AND HARLEY DAVIDSONS. IN MY OPINION THERE IS NOTHING BETTER LOOKING THEN HARLEY DAVIDSONS, AND THE ONLY METRICS THAT EVEN COME ANYWHERE REMOTELY CLOSE ARE BOBBER STYLED METRICS.

THIS IS OUR GROUND CLEARANCE IN KALIFORNIA

thanks mate, goodness me...if we are going to use this ground clearance in India than I am sure all bikes are going to stuck in middle of all nonsense speed breakers, which do everything other than breaking the speed.

Depends on if you want to be cool or uncool....

everybody is different!
don't go by what the self-proclaimed experts say...
hopefully you can test ride them both...if not at least have an extended sit on each one...

not sure about the T...but the aftermarket for HD is huge, you can find just about anything you want to change the personality of your bike

Yep... I don't think you would be disappointed with either....
It might be different in India...
But over here there are two types of riders...
those that ride Harleys....and those that wish they did!

The standard Fatboy doesn't have clearance issues at all and is a nice all around and reliable bike. The Fatboy Lo, now, does get you down a bit closer to the ground but still shouldn't be a problem under normal riding. My son actually lowered his Lo even more and it's way down there. You just have to be aware of the clearance if you go with the L0, but normally not an issue. If I was you, I'd go with the "COOL" HD Fatboy! Good luck in your choice!

@ Cheesecake: "those that ride Harleys....and those that wish they did!"
- lol, sound of a pro Harley soul. I bet your comments are pushing me towards the mighty "Fatboy"

@ Killerk95: appreciate.

need to know, how much people are biased towards what they ride (no offense intended)

I'm bias. I don't even consider any other bikes but Harleys now.
I rode Hondas since I was a teenager always wanting a Harley.
I paid cash for my brand new then FXSTC. I was 29.
I was told by many back then I could have gotten a truck, different bike, etc. I bought what I wanted and was totally pleased with the bike.

I still have it and did the same for my FXCWC. I paid cash for what I wanted.
I guess unlike you, I knew what I wanted and didn't settle for less than what I wanted.

I hope it doesn't come across as bragging about paying cash. It was only mentioned to help show I bought what I wanted instead of accepting less.
