Thinking of getting a PC III. However a dealer told me the have heard of the PC III damaging the ECM. I have never heard this before until the dealer told me. Has anyone ever heard of that?

Also, a PC III will be compatible with any Big Bore Kits, etc. that I add later right? I would just need to download a new map right.

I have the same question about storing the module on my O6 Fatboy aswell.

thanks,

WARG

my PC is under the seat. It's tight; but it fits. I've never heard of the PC ruining the ECM........I've run one on several bikes and never had a problem. I didn't get mine dynoed---I'm not searching for extra HP......if I had a big bore; I probaly would

A buddy just had a PCIII installed with V&H Longshots, Stage 1 air cleaner. He had the money to pay for the dyno runs but it came up with only 6 more HP, and 7 Torque. Unless you've done mods to the engine, ie...big bore kit, cams, etc. it is cheaper to download the maps for your setup and tune it to that.
The PCIII isn't supposed to effect your ECM at all. We had a dealer try to sell us a "reload" charge on the bike's ECM after the PCIII was pulled off an Ultra. Lots of Hooey!!!

Great info. I am leaning towards the PC III over the SERT just for cost reasons. It sounds like most people are happy with their PC IIIs. Any reason to pay the extra for the SERT?

I had a hard time fitting my PCIII under the seat too, until I followed the directions for the Deuce . I have an FXSTSI. I had to adjust the relay box tabs so that it would sink down deeeper in the slot. Then the PCIII and the connectors fit under the seat. Yeah, it wasn't easy, but it runs like a champ now. A little popping on decel, but I will bump up the fuel for 0% throttle to take care of that.

Anyone using the accelerator pump feature? I need to install that and try it out.

Jake
