As I said above, I spend a lot of time rehearsing companies and their products and base my decisions of whose products to sell on first hand experiences with them. When I do come across companies who provide garbage products, (and I do quite often) I do not sell their stuff as I am only interested in providing my customers with the finest products that will be backed by the company that has manufactured them.
True, many people have been left with a bad taste in their mouth in one way or another over a product quite often in this industry. However some companies will make it right on their own dime. No company provides a perfect product every time without incident, it is a fact. But how tehy handle the after the sale service is a very big deal to me and every one else.
So, if you have been reading a lot of negativity about whoever written by whoever, realize that anyone who goes the extra mile to make it right on their own dime deserves your business and runs a solid company. Most small companies in the MC industry do not survive very long due to lack of knowledge on what brings a company longevity. It's not just a good unique product and how many sales you make.
It is also inevitable that other companies will always imitate the designs of successful companies (regardless of patent) and offer them up for half the price with made in China or Taiwan junk materials. They watch what sells, and outsource all of the tooling overseas. They are then able to provide a product that looks the same for half the price. Don't be fooled by cheap imitations as they are only that.
Would you buy a bike with the name Harley on it were it to be made in Taiwan? I am for supporting what is left of American industry regardless of how much more it costs me. I'd much prefer to pay the salary of a fellow American through buying a more expensive product. Outsourcing is a big part of why there is so much unemployment in this country now, and it's not getting any better.
