Exclamation Average dealer prices for Replacing Stator?? Ideas?

Got 02 softail Standard need to replace the voltage regulator and stator?? and estimates of how much the dealer is going to charge me?? Im in San diego CA!! have no idea where to go since i just moved here....stealership is looking good already have appt. but no ideas on pricing??

Just buy the parts bro it's not hard at all. SD is going to
Be 85 an hour and they will probably charge you 3 hrs

Yea,
Replacing them is a piece of cake!
Buy the H-D Service manual for $60 and buy the parts.
It's just a couple of screws & bolts and wire plugs. should'nt take you more than an hour considering you are doing it for the first time.

And when your done you saved alot of money and you still have the service manual that can help you with everything from minor fix-ups to overhauls if you so choose to do it.

any good shops in diego that could do it? in a jamm and dont have time nor the place to do the job...live in condos

I don't trust dealers bro and the only shop I'd take my bike to is boars nest in Oceanside. It's real simple bro no major wrenching I would just do it myself

no removing oil tanks? can I do it with no bike jack?

cycle visions in old town is a very good shop so is uptown cycle in kearny mesa

Update!!! it was the voltage regulator!!! I followed the testing provided by you gusy and even though paid 40 dollars thru the HD for the oem part, so I wouldnt Have to wait from Online shopping...im back on the road!!! Now I need a front fender and a swingarm bag!!! let me know any suggestions!! SD LOCALS!!
