Roll on's from 50 mph to 100+ mph in 5th gear are no problem. Those Honda's won't give you any problems again.
Probably not what some of you want to hear, but I dont see the point in tuning these motors, OK they might go a little faster in a straight line, still wont corner well though, some of the comments about arm wrenching accelleration, make me smile as I suspect there are a lot of people here who have not owned or ridden a sports bike, I'm talking about bikes that will loft the front wheel in the lower gears from power alone, no clutch, no pulling of the bars, just sheer power.
I came over to Harley to slow down and enjoy the ride. just dont see the point in overtuning a motor that a chassis cant handle.
I didn't tune my ride so I can ride 100mph matter of fact I have never had her over 85. When I need to distance myself from some idiot on the road its sweet to be able crack that throttle and be gone. Also it is fun on occasion to go from 0 to 55 in a NY minute Overall I am a very conservative and defensive rider but I like knowing the juice is there if I need it
Well as i was merging onto the highway, i was behind a car and after we got in right lane i went to pass him on the left. Well as i got beside him, he punched it, well so do i.... now we are 45ish to 100mph. problem is that he was right beside me the whole time, believe it was a Civic. Now i know Misty aint build for speed and performance, but really???
After 90mph bike just aint got nothing left... (2 questions)
1. is that normal for a bike with stage 1?
2. what cam will fix this problem?
Ok done crying...
Sounds like street racing to me...just plain stupid...why not just let the Civic go and pull in behind him and live another day.

If that was my daughter on the back there wouldn't be a second ride and you would have a hard time walking after I was finished with you.

My bagger will do well past 120 in 6th. Just spend the money and be done!!!!!!

I personally don't think it is too much to ask that a 20K bike have some passing power when travelling on the hwy. The fact that a person needs to spend another 3k to get that power on bike that cost that much is BS. I am not drinking the harley kool-aid on this one
have you took into consideration it was the PASSENGERS CHOICE! not only to get on, but to say speed up i wanna see how fast we can go because i want to see what hundred plus mph on a bike feels like?
...and none of those passengers had been drinking right?
...and you did those speeds on a closed course, not on public highways right?
At 145+ on a public highway there are potential hazards that there is no way you would have time to react to, no matter how good of rider you believe yourself to be.
At those speeds on a public highway you are nothing but an irresponsible reckless driver and a hazard to the public. Nothing to be bragging and tooting your horn about.

really? and unless you was there what makes you think you would even know? you be surprised. and like i said, if she WAS on the back, and made the choice, it is hers. as far as me having a hard time walking, not sure. if you are saying you gonna whoop my ***, plenty have been there, a few have, but they all woke up the next morning and remembered me, guaranteed. LOL!
