Yeah man apes are the way to go either evil apes or outlaws would look killer, but I would go at least 14" at your height.
Go for it you won't regret it.

Leaning towards some 14" evil apes. Might even look into some BE custom bars. What will I need to get everything mounted besides the bars?

16" minimum in my opinion...I'm 4" shorter than you and my Wild 1 16" apes are at shoulder height. I personally think they would look great on your bike. If you don't have shoulder problems, they are REALLY COMFORTABLE.

Definitely 14-16" apes would look sick on your bike.

Im 6'1" and I have 4 in. risers with 14 in. Apes on my custom and 3 in. forward controls and I love the feel and handling of my bike now. Before my neck would get cramped from the bars and my butt bone would be hammered down to a nub after just an hour of riding. Now its my lats that get the workout and they are bigger muscles and dont mind the vibrations and my tail is not getting hammered as much.

I'm leaning towards some 14" but haven't made up my mind on which ones yet? Does anyone have pics of BR Custom Bent Ape Beaters?
