Talking Fatboy Apes

I'm considering installing apes on my 2008 fatboy. I'm looking for pictures of your bikes with apes so that I can determine the height I like the best! I'm thinking 16". Also any suggestions on bars would be appreciated. I like Carlini and am also looking at Hill Country.

Go with carlinis IMO they look perfect on the FL front end. And get their risers when you do, just looks way classy.

I have 12" Carlini Flyin Apes (they actually measure around 13.5"). I am 5'6" tall and these hit me perfect at shoulder height. Here is a picture for reference.

^^ Nice looking bike man!

Where did you get the bar bag at? Is it pretty secure at high speeds?

harleyheaven - sweet looking bike. I have been looking at both the Shotgun shock set up and the Klockwerks fenders. I assume you are pleased with both?

Carlinis. I am 5'11 and I went with the 14's. I was thinking maybe I should have ordered the 16's, but once the 14's got mounted they were perfect.

Carlinis are the best bars IMHO. They are well made and look KILLER. I had 18 inch gangsters on mine (1.5) thick. Here a pic or 2

Thanks! The bag is from Leatherworks and it has been secure up to 130 MPH.
Just kiddin..The bag attaches with a strap so it's not rock solid like my Leatherworks Solo Bag. It moves a little but is plenty stable for me.

I got both my bags at the same time and had them covered with the same material as my seat. I am very pleased with the quality and appearance.

Thanks again and you would assume correct! Both products are excellent. The Shotgun Shock is awesome and the Klockwerks Fenders are great as well. The fenders are much heavier than stock and fit great.

My FB with 12.5 inch Wild One Chubby bars that barely pass Utah Law for height. I still can't figure out how some local guys are getting by with the 18 and 20's.
