First off, my thread to keep my mods in one thread has been moved to tech forums...so sorry for another thread again
OK...after scratching my head for the last couple months about what to do with the Lo after the tins are said and done, I keep going back to two pics. one with the teal blue Calvary bags on a Roadking and the other an orange Deluxe bagger with 2" duals. Therefore, Calvary hard bags w/ Samson 2" black duals (probably 33") with simple aluminum finish endcaps. Even though it will be a bagger, I feel it still will look awesome as old skool and at the same time very functional for my numerous day rides. And yes a wimpshield will be part timed...where I live the afternoon gusts can be a biatch on the highway.
Now to get a hold of a Samson rep to get the ball rolling. Btw does anyone know if Freedom Performance is still in business...no replies to emails and their facebook looks inactive.
O btw NC Deluxe...again thanx for showing us that old skool pic of yours. That's what crossed the line for me. Cheers.
Anyways here are the pics including mine on the bench...

Congrats on your decision to come over with the cool kids. You will love having the bags on. If you need any help finding hardware and what not, look me up. I just spent 2 months putting mine together and it was a lot of work finding everything I needed. Will be much easier for you because you arent doing a fender overlay and you wont be wasting a bunch of time with Fairing Factory either haha. If you need anything give me a shout. Good luck...did the shop get your fender mounted properly?

No not yet...today or tomorrow it goes back up on the bench for straightening. All they did so far is fill in holes for redo. Should have mocked pics beginning of the week. And ya I been looking at hardware last couple days...cycle visions seem to have a very stable setup but don't know if their brackets will drop the bags low enough towards the pipes to fit the BIG bags. Thanx man.
Btw more I think about it, bagging makes sense. Lowering the bike via shotgun shocks doesn't go in a perpendicular motion and when it's slammed the rear fender shifts back and looks all cockeyed. Bags will hide that and when slammed the duals will stay clear and look da bomb

I can't say much about the bags, but I too removed my VnH BRs 2-2 for Duals.. Although I went with fishtails, I could say you are absolutely gonna LOVE the new exhaust note. The separation behind you gives off just an AWESOME sound!!!
Good luck with your bags!! I'm lookin forward to spring and seeing all these badass winter mods done, especially the look of bags on your guys'!!!!
Good choice, I'm in the process of bagging my Lo as well. I have a baddad rear fender, a front fender similar to yours, a topshop 1" to 3" hardbags and I'm changing my bars to a set of BR customs. Should be done by the end of March.
Oh by the way I have a set of denim black hardbags with lids (no hardware) I'm selling for $350 shipped if your in the market for some. They have some scratches you might want to paint them. I was gonna use them like that but the baddad fender was longer then them so I went with extended bags. Anyway good luck and hope to see the finished product soon.

Ive got the Cycle Visions baggertail and the lower rail is even with the rear axle which puts the bottom of the bags just an inch lower than that. Ive got 4" extended bags so mine are lower yet. The cycle vision is a solid product and you shouldnt have any issues with it.
CV's brackets down to axle...good to know. Right where my fender tip ends basically at stock height..should flush up nice. Thanx man for that.
Also guys...I really dig the ribs on the calvary bags...give it a lil old school look for meh. Thanx though for input and offer.
Just in the process of trading emails with Samson on what length will go best...33" or 36". But good to know they have a performance baffle I am glad to hear for stacking numbers. Should be ordered today sometime when I get near phone reception.
Edit...
Just finished trading emails with JR from Samson's. After showing him pics, he mentioned that if I go with a simple tip that 36's will stick out a touch and show off the tips better. I have to agree...36" it will be then.
+1 for prompt service.
