Hi, Im looking for some domed or acorn style chrome nuts to replace the knurled type seat retaining nuts on my 08' Deluxe. Does anyone know the thread size of the studs? And where to find some decent looking nuts?
Thanks.
on my '10 they are 1/4-20. Not sure where to find the nuts. I just put a solo seat on mine and would like to put some sort of cap on the rear seat nut but I havent done much searching. Guess I should follow this thread
You can try a good local hardware store, sometimes they carry chrome stuff. Or McMaster Carr supply has a great selection, but you might have to buy a box.

+1 the size is 1/4-20 for the two seat retaining bolts. You can find spike nuts, acorn nuts etc on eBay or some place like boltdepot.com. To save shipping and time you should be able to find some place there.
Are you talking about the two that hold the driver seat on? If so, check out these nuts. Never thought you'd be checking out nuts, I know!
Yep they're ones im looking for, thanks.
Id buy them from J&P's except they want $33 just for postage WTF?
I'd be happy to transfer the money via Paypal to someone to send me a set at actual cost, (plus some for time & effort as way of a thankyou) not some ridiculously inflated shipping rate.
