assembly or oil ????
Hey guys when I do this cam job am I using assembly lube or my reg 20w50 oil . Service manual says oil??? Whats your opinion. thanx CW

Everything i've seen/read online says use assembly lube, and use it liberally.. i dont know offhand whether it makes a difference or not

Use the lube by the time you get ready to start it up the oil would have ran off of the parts. And dont be afraid of it more is better.

I used Harley dino 20-50 when I did mine. I did load it up pretty good but I only replaced the cam brg. and reinstalled the stock cam and lifters. That was 20,000 miles ago with no problems.
