Here are my 16" gangsters push forward a bit. I am 5'10" but have a long torso so the fit good. sitting straight up bars are shoulder height. they where taller but i pulled the bars back to get my arms in the position i wanted.
hey guys im finally gettin around to gettin these bars on this weekend. been kinda tied up with money so it took me longer then expected. The cables are on the way but is there any thing else besides the wires I should get to do the install myself this weekend?
Def go with the 14", I have 14" Gangster Apes with 1.5" High Roller Risers, also by Carlini. Im 5'11" on a good day and have a low profile seat...Have rode in many states, been pulled over (for not having mirrors) and height was 'tested' and passed...plus they are very comfortable, the thickness of the bars assist in limiting vibration vs other bars, I use to have Yaffe's...You can also adjust them forward or backward thru the risers to adjust comfort, I have mine almost straight up right now.
Pic below..
Ok I know what bars I am getting now......nice bike
When I spoke with my Tech... He mentioned not to get anything below 14" in Carlini's as you won't be able to see the curve and beauty of the apes. Anyone have any comments on that statement?
I am 5'7 and am nervous about getting something that doesn't fit well. Wish I lived near Carlini
looking at getting the Carlini Gangster apes for my 06 deluxe. I am also 5'7" and can't decide between the 14 or 16 inch models. I have a stock seat and probably would go with the 1.25" diameter because I am a biker on a budget, and can't dish out another $200 for risers to fit the 1.5 diameter bars. I want to put the bars at about 12:00 (looking from side profile) and I also don't want to be stretched out to far. I would like my bars to be just higher than shoulder height. I have read this whole thread and am still undecided. please throw some more input for us short guys!
I'm 5'7" as well and ordered a set of 14" gangster apes for my Deluxe. I had a set of 14" Wild One's on my Night Train and they fit me great. The only thing I'm really worried about is the 41" width on the 1.5 bars.

Let me know how they work for you when you get them on your deluxe, also what risers did you go with?
