softail neck problem (question, concern) pic posted
i got a 06 Softail Deluxe and took her out yesterday with my wife for a little bit. rode for a good amount of time and on our way back we stopped at Dunkin Donuts. got coffee ETC ETC ETC
as were standing there im looking at the bike and notice greese on the back ofmy front fender. and im like what the hell, where this come from. i wipe if off with diaper soft clothes from Pep Boys Auto. then im smiling again looking at my baby shine. but im standing on the right side of my bike and notice globs of greese is coming out from the bottom of my neck. now to me this dont look right. if more of that greese drips off while im riding or even at a low speed maybe coming to a red light, the wind can catch the greese and blow if a different way, like onto my front rotor prohibiting me from stopping.
im no pro but i dont think this is normal, with greese dripping on the fender dulling it and what now or even getting on the rotor and/or tire. maybe they filled it up to much, i only bought the bike in August.
any ideas, does this look or sound right to you all.?

Normal Operation. When greasing the bearing, I ride and wipe for several days before it lets up. Warm air temperatures make the condition much worse. Some people have tried a heavier grease with higher temp rating then the HD grease with good luck, but don't know if the lubrication offered by higher temp aftermarket greases is sufficient.

no reason to rip him a new anus...the grease leak is perfectly normal(I'm not sure that sounded too good).......I'm relieved they put enough in there TO leak out.
when I bought my Dirtbike a few years ago.....I was literally amazed at the lack grease they used especially considering the
abuse the bike was gonna take and the conditions in which it was gonna be ridden
btw, beautiful bike
