I am installing lower wind deflectors and need to move the turn signal /marker lights forward about ˝ inch. Is there a way to loosen the lock nut on the light or remove the power wire without having to cut and splice the wire? I hate to cut and slice wires if I do not need to at some point in time they always come back to haunt you. If all else fails I could grind a slot in and old socket.
After talking to the mechanic at the dealer he told me they are designed to go on one way and if reversed would not work as effectively The socket size is 9 /16 I bought a cheap set for $6.00 and used a body grinder to cut a slot in the side worked great. The lights are a pain in the butt to adjust
The wind deflectors work great I can now ride at 65 70 mph with a baseball cap on and it will not blow off (bill forward)
