Hi all... I have a 2006 heritage that I purchased new in 06 and installed a set of new FL street glide bags on a few years ago. I'm now thinking about installing an Electra glide tour pack on it and would like to see some pictures of heritages with the same install. Any pictures would be great. I've seen a few pics of soft tails with aftermarket tour packs but would like to see some with Harley Electra glide packs installed if there are any. Only problem is the cost which will be quite steep even for a used box.
I' am sure the extra storage is welcomed.. but the gloss finish look of the box just don't flow with Ur bike.
I know U use them only for a once in a while ride, but maybe a little work would make a big diff.???
I've read that some members are using truck liner spray on bikes to get a flatter wrinkle look. In the pics it looks almost leather like.. So U might check that out.. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...od-advice.html
Or just leave them alone... It does look better in the pic with the fringe on...
My bike is Vivid(gloss) black and sterling silver.. How would painting the tour pak wrinkle black improve the look?
Anyway..... In the 3 years I've had it, this weekend is only the second time I've had it on. It will have a lot more room that the nylon SAC bag I normally use traveling solo.
For the most part, they do look goofy on a softail, unless you go touring hard bags.. But it serves its purpose. As soon as I get to Americade... Off it comes in the cabin.

I was Just thinking that the flat finish of the truck spray along with the little bit of wrinkle look would be a little more like a leather covered bag and match U leather bags and seat better.
U've done a great job mounting the box.

U've got the best looking bags made IMO.. No way would I get rid of them if I had them for hard bags.
Only reason I said anything was even for that once a yr setup it might make U bike look better U put it on.
Like I said it was just a thought on my part and I didn't know if U'd ever heard of others doing it.
I've thought about it more and I reckon their is a downside. If U traded bikes and wanted to sell the box, if it was painted with the truck liner U'd probably have a hard time selling it.
