sgod1100, I really feel for you. No matter how many times you list your horsepower numbers, you are gonna get some people that simply ignore them, see jap bike versus Harley and get down on you. I said it before and I'll say it again. That's a cool *** bike.
Wrong! There are diesels out there people are racing that are putting up mediocre HP numbers and insane TQ numbers that are faster than gas powered engines with a lot more HP.
sgod1100's bike is making 191 HP and 165 lb ft of torque at the rear wheel, as it has been stated several times on this thread and it is in his sig line. He has a 107 cu in with ported heads, cams, and pushing 16 psi of boost. Those numbers are pretty typical with those mods.
Have any of you guys ever been to a Harley drag event? There are shovelheads on old drag bikes out there running faster 1/4 mile times than the "unbeatable" 600 rice rockets we are talking about. As I said earlier in thread, I've personally seen a guy with heavy *** stocking appearing Road King running 10.50's at over 130 MPH at Silver Dollar Dragway in Reynolds, GA. I don't know what al is done to the bike, but it is not supercharged. I do think he's running nitrous.
Just because an engine was not born an efficient power making design doesn't mean it can't be made to run. I've drag raced for years and seen some unreal numbers out of engines that aren't "supposed" to be fast. There is a guy named Rick Schnell that has a flathead Ford V8 on rail dragster running 7.60's at over 170 MPH.
If sgod1100's posted numbers are true (and I have no reason to believe they are not) he has a very fast bike.
HP = torque * RPM / 5252
Torque is only half the equation. HP is the amount of work an engine can do, so it is what is used to calculate acceleration. A theoretical engine that produces 500 ft/lbs of torque at 100RPM but redlines at 101RPM is only going to put out 9.5 HP and is not going to be great at acceleration. A torque figure given without the RPM it is generated at is a worthless number.
Even a blind squirrel will find a nut once in a while, personaly i could give a **** less if it happened or didnt, could it happen, maybe, did it happen, i dont know. Obviously you care alot about what others think and i find it kind of strange that your so hell bent on trying to make everyone believe it. I am curious that you said there was no side streets or anything but yet there is a red light you was stopped at. You also said your surprised that it turned into this kind of thread when you was just telling a cool story, seriously? have you ever read any of the other threads or post on here, people are going to say no it didnt happen no matter what it is and then there are those that would say they know a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy with a moped that out run a funny car. I'm surprised this hasnt made it to 20 pages yet, this thread has gotten really boring, who really gives a **** anyways.
Really? You honestly think i give a crap about what people think? If I did I wouldn't have bought a rocker...most people hate the way they look....i bought it because I like it.
Yes, I was at a red light and i guess if you want to get technical about it I did cross ONE street, but i was going about 10 mph when doing so...we did hit it until after crossing that one road where the light was at
Yeah, that's all I though it was going to be was a story i could share with everyone....not people criticizing me...especially guys who have NO idea what the hell they are talking about. (I'm not talking directly to you, just in general)

Thanks bikerlaw...I went through this same stuff when i bought the procharger and through it on my STOCK bike..people were sayin that the stock bike couldn't handle it, it is a ticking time bomb, your crank is going to scissor, etc.....I had ABSOLUTELY no problems with it running with a stock engine...i just want to go higher than 120 hp so thats why i rebuilt everything..I wanted to play it safe
Always gotta have someone gripe about doing this and that on a city street or back road or highway for the love of god live a little and enjoy life. Some Like myself like being on the razors edge and sounds like the author does too. Its when your stupid on crowded highways/streets when you may meet the Reaper but besides that have fun. If I don't hit close to triple digits at least once per ride then I'm riding two up or I'm buzzing around town. Great story bro Ride safe but ride like hell.

This kind of response always kills me. If it's so boring and all, why bother to even comment? Just shut up and go to the next thread
