Smoked a 600 crotch rocket
I don't believe a 600cc bike stands a chance against a well built Harley off the line... Not even with an experienced rider..
Those short light to light races, sport bikes can't hang..
I dont believe for one minute that any of you guys that are buying into this crap... Has ever ridden a sports bike....
Said it earlier in the thread ( page one I think) Wake up guys!
I've ridden sports bike all my life, right to the edge, through the gearbox on the back wheel ,and I've at times I've had 180 showing on the speedo, you name it,
And I still say your kidding yourself, the only person racing that day was you, he was laughing his t*ts of inside his lid.

I am not quoting stock bikes, just talking about my experience with my modded bike.. BTW, yes, I have had quite a few sport bikes in my time, and raced them professionally to boot... Been riding for 30 years and all I am saying is that I can take a 600cc sport bike up to 60mph every time with my Harley...
Why? do the math... it's all about torque up to 60MPH... I do have 20% more weight but 100% more torque than a stock 600cc crotch rocket.
I have been clear, I will not win a drag race in 1/4 mile, I will not win on the freeway, I will not win a rolling start race...
However, off the line in a closed quarters race where high speed isn't possible, I will own those 600cc bikes around town where most races happen anyway...
Your statement of riding the rear wheel to 180MPH just shows you are out of context here and your keyboard riding ability is far beyone your real ability to ride or understand the physics of a motorcycle..

These are Your words.
The stock 103" are your words, the OP of this thread was NOT riding a stock Harley..
I have never ridden a stage one Slim 103" but if you can't pull a rocket off the line, I question your ability... are you using the clutch to shift to second gear? you should not be... The clutch is just to get moving..

I get it and I know what you said.. My quotes were for another reply, not you..
You just sort of jumped in with the stock thing where the thread was talking about modded Harleys..
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
And you may have misunderstood my comment about wheelying, I've read it back and I probably wrote it wrong, as I wasnt implying that I've got up to 180 0n the back wheel, just that I could go through the box,
Also that I've ridden upto those sort of speeds rightly or wrongly many times. we've already gone through the moral aspects of riding like a t*at earlier in the thread.
But let me tell you that in no way do do my keyboard skills outweigh my riding skills,
I'm very aware of people on the internet who like to project themselves as a 6'4'' 250pounds, adonis, who's hung like a bear and can go all night. LOL
But I will repeat myself ....Wake up guys
