Those 1/4 mile times you quoted are from PRO RIDERS hired to ride the bikes under the best conditions to show off the companies' products. That is NOT the point. The point for me is to see what a HARLEY can do, and what it is capable off...
How do you know those are pro riders? From what I read those are the magazine writers and print monkies putting down those times.

I think you've done a great job with your bike and it is a fantastic machine, much like the OPs.

After reading this entire thread, (boy, did that take a while) I can't decipher the B.S. from the fact. Does the O.P. have a fast bike? ...sure. Did he beat a 600 rocket?...... Maybe, ( bad rider, bike not running right, or just got lucky). Can he beat all the 600 rockets, as he claims..... No way! The only thing I know for sure ,(spare me all your spec. sheets and technical B.S. mumbo-jumbo), is that when I want to go fast , my Harley stays home, I jump on my 600 Katana sport touring bike. Not even a super sport bike, yet still very capable whether out of the hole or rolling launch or twisties ect. ect. I have been riding both Harleys and sport bikes for a while and realisticaly, I don't see a harley of any horse power or torque or whatever running with a 600 rocket. They are just too snappy. Maybe, just maybe, you could get a jump on one, for a couple of feet, but (and I live this daily...) they start pulling at 6000rpm and keep pulling harder and harder to red line,(ussually around 12 or 13000rpm, depending on make). So.. If you started at a 20-25 mph roll, all he had to do was down shift And he would have been in his gum band and gone.

.
Yeah, guys who ride for a living, have or used to race. Like Don Canet with Cycle World. And hardly anyone beating those times on stock bikes.

Yeah okay, show us all the stock 600s running 9s at 135mph. He posted a timeslip, show us different in dragtimes.com or somewhere else.

Nobody said it was old, and nobody said it was stock.
Pages and pages here of armchair experts expressing disbelief that a modded Harley can out-drag a sportbike. Then someone who actually spends a little time at the track posts time slips and video....

If you were to get the displacement of the bikes in the ballpark and go up against a liter bike it would be a different story, especially if you met a v-twin 1000cc machine. The horsepower to weight ratio would be a killer for your Harley at that point.

Pick on your own size bullies! [Sarcasm off]
lol...it is right around the same hp to weight ratio (I'm slightly higher than the 600cc bike). But i have a little thing called torque which those 600's severely lack

Don't want to jack this thread so done here.
Just supporting the OP bad azz rocker and showing the uneducated that there are some FAST Harley's out there...it may take a lot of work but it can be done...

VERY impressive...that's pretty cool that you do it on a N/A engine too. What is your comp ratio with that engine? How much does your bike weigh?
Just wondering..

first off...how are you going to downshift from 1st gear??? He was still in 1st gear when we were at the 25 mph roll....secondly, lets line your katana up with my bike and see how "gone" you are... and by the way my bike keeps pulling harder and harder up to my redline as well thanks to the procharger..I have rode a katana 600 before and it wasn't as fast as my bike ("fast" being the acceleration of the bike, not top speed)

I like that term..."armchair experts"...I'm definitely going to start using that one. Yeah, it's really easy for people to call B.S. on something over the computer. Never thought this thread would get to over 20 pages of people arguing back and forth

Well, given that this is the longest break in this thread so far, it looks like a half-dozen of us who actually know what we're talking about have shut down 20 pages of "armchair experts", at least for now.
