Did you try bending the mount on the Grasshopper? Another member here put his in a vice & it didn't push him too far forward. I love mine, works for me.

Grasshopper Fix

I have a 2000 heritage and just bought the grasshopper and having the same issue. Seat sits back on an angle and pushes you forward . Did you get any response back from the company or fix it yourself?

Well this one from eBay arrived and it is also a nice piece but does not fit a 2012 heritage any better than the grasshopper. It sits forward of the back of the drivers seat pushing me a couple inches forward on the bike. Looks like utopia with some hole drilling or a new seat set up. The stock seat is just too comfortable to swap out.

I did not try bending the bracket. The pillion is in the way. Maybe the later model pillion is a little different?

Sorry it's been awhile, I do have a project or two going on at the moment. I mentioned in a previous post that I would do some "show and tell" about the backrest goin on the FatBoy. With the condition my tailbone is in, I'm not about to put my comfort in a generic, one size fits all catagory. Granted there are companies out there that do have good products, but if you have to bend it and tweak it after you bought it, why not start from scratch to begin with.
