Interested in lowering the rear end after the season. I hear nothing but praises for the shotgun shocks but I don't feel like spending the cash if I don't have to. How are the 422s. They would probably save me $600 or so after installation since I don't have the ***** to tackle it myself. I just want to do the rear for that raked looked.
422 are good. I had mine about 1 1/2 lower and they felt about stock. The shotgun I can go -2" or more and it feels great. You can get the 422 for under $400 and install would about $85 (at dealer) or shotgun is $1250 (I think) plus another $250 for install
Might want to try the 422 first and see if they work for you. You will have no problem selling them if you wanted to go shotgun
Shotgun is worth the money and the install is actually pretty easy proving you have a lift and a jack or two. Did mine at a buddy's house in about 3 hours.
I have seen the 422 Raps for as low as $525 at Two Guys Cycle. These are the adjustable pre load ones. Just want to do this once and be happy with it. I haven't heard to much about the Raps yet.
It's funny I started my mods and ran out of money. Jim beat me to the wheels with the trim ring. We had a lot of the same ideas. His bike is-was sick. I wonder what he sold it for.

Over 30K he had it listed...I assume he got it since it sold fast.
Funny you said that...I was thinking that you may have got another Lo or something. You were one of the first cats I noticed in the Lo thread when I first rolled in. Ya u been on idle man. Glad to see you back on track.

NOPE!
You'll LOSE $600 after you buy the Progressives, realize you want more and buy the Shotgun anyway. Might as well buy it now and save yourself from that mistake, plus installation. Once you get the Shotgun, you'll wonder why the hell you even posted this. One of the first things most people post after they get the Shotgun installed is "I don't know why I waited this long..." or something to that effect. If you want to lower your bike and get a better ride, there really is only one choice if you don't want to be left wondering...
I like my 422's..dropped somewhere between 1.5 and 1.75" in the rear.. ride feels like it's improved as well, and the look is killer.. check ebay, I got mine for $209 shipped from ebay, and the guy only had about 1000 miles on them
