This test is from a 2010 Fatboy and based off an analog oil temp gauge (dipstick).
First 500 miles total stock the running temp was 280
Tuned with stage 1 oil temp was about 250. After an hour long freeway ride at 80mph with the outside air temp being 102 last year the oil temp was 270.
Over the winter I added a 10 row Jagg cooler. At the time Jagg only sold 6 row for the softails but I custom mounted the 10 row on her.
This year with the cooler and riding 2-up on 103 -104 days I have not seen over 220.
I know there are a lot of comments that the coolers do not work in stop and go traffic but from firsthand experience I have seen a huge drop in temp. Even in traffic jams the temp never went over 220.
Funny how Harley said their bikes don’t need a cooler but now most (except softails) come with one.

Damn it!! I just bought my Heritage two weeks ago and every time I come on this site my list of "need to's" grows. Will I ever have my Heritage at a point where-as there's nothing left to do to her? I guess that's the time I need to sell her and move on to another project right?

It's obviously there but that is because your first pic shows it bluntly. The last pic when you're not looking for it does not even begin to show it. The finishes perfectly matched to your frame paint.
Impressive numbers and an excellent write-up!

I thought my 04 Heritage was perfect when I bought it a few months ago. That was about $1K ago.
