Default My Cam Choice, I think.

After reading many different opinions on Cams, I have thinking about closing the deal on the Andrews 54H. Thumbs up or down?

It going in a 2009 Fatboy, that has the 103 upgrade, 10-1 compression, and currently the SE-255 that came in the kit. Although I like the low torque in such a light bike, it dies fairly quickly on the top end....so I'm looking for the best swap.

Without headwork and a change in fuel deliivery I >think< you will lose something at the top or the bottom depending upon the cam. I don't have dyno tests to confirm this and your pipes have some effect also. In reality the only way to know this kind of stuff is to have your exact configuration and run dynos of each cam. Someone with a lot of >race building< experience can take the specs of your configutation and make a good guess. Just keep in mind that you should listen to those that have the cam you are thinking about in a very similar setup to yours.

Sounds like your bike is a good place to start looking for high performance though! Wish I had a 103.

I went with 37H in my 2010 103 FXSTC. Seems to work pretty well.

What's the PSI on a compression test?

Well...I should know what the compression is with the current set up, but I don't. So after I take a measurement with my current set up (SE255 cams), how much of a change are you thinking I will get with the Andrews 54H? (The SE255 are generally not know for easy starting, and I have not had any starting problems.)
