Default Quick update.

FINALLY got all my powder coat back after what it has seemed like an eternity. Started putting it back together today. here are two pics of some of the process i've made so far.
The pics are not much, after I took the pics I kept going and got the rear wheel on and the rear fender (i'll take pics of that tomorrow).

here are the bars and the front wheel on the bike.

I'm having some clearance issues with the front wheel. The wheel needs to move to the right (away from the brake caliper) about an 8th of an inch. I don't know what went wrong. I took off all the powder coat from all the surfaces so i know my measurements are not off because of the thickness of the coating.

Is there a specific order that you have to put the front end together? Is that maybe why i'm having an 8th of an inch clearance problem with the brake rotor and the caliper? What i mean is this...... does the order in which you tighten the fall away nut and the bolts on the bottom tree (the ones that secure the fork legs to the bottom trees) affect the clearance at the bottom??????

that's the only thing I can think off. either that or the bearings we put in the wheel are off somehow.

Any of you guys have any input?

Check your wheel spacers, Mine are real close in size and I had them backwards, left on the right and right on the left.. hope it's as simple as that.

spacers are on correctly. i'm dreading it but i think when we pressed the bearings in to the front wheel we might have missed something.

ok, got the front wheel figured out. the spacers between the bearings was on the wrong side.

here is a pic of where I'm at now. I have to replace the nut, clutch adjustment on the clutch basket cause it somehow got stripped.

after that all i have left is adjust the clutch and idle and throttle cables, put the primary cover back on, put the head light on it. get some fluids in her and take her for a test ride !!!!!! can't wait.

here are some pics of where i'm at right now.
