Hey Jimmy, yeah, that is what I have been told about the primary spacer kits. I am going to see that guy early in the week and hopefully he can set me up with all the parts I need and some guidance!!
I just spent a very productive hour in the garage. I removed all the controls and the hidden wires from the bars. I had to snip off the plugs to get them through the bars. I took my time and labeled everything with masking tape and black marker. It should go pretty smooth when it come time to put everything back.
Well, thanx for all the kind words. I should have a big update and plenty-o-pics in the upcoming week.

My first bike was an '81 SS. I remember sitting at a light when a grizzly biker on a bagger pulled up, looked over and asked if it was a Super Sport. After telling him yes, I got a "Cool." and a nod. I miss that bike.
I guess I'm the minority, I hate to see that SS chopped up like that. The Suzuki doesn't bother me, and I'm interested to see how the Fatty comes out. Did you see the FXR in this thread:

This is definitely going to be an interesting build.
I like your previous builds too. Especially the 1975 Suzuki GT 550. I really like two-strokes. I have had numerous two-smokes and still own a couple. Is there a build thread on your Suzuki somewhere?
I would like to build a cafe racer 1200 Sportster. I want a Harley with a decent lean angle that would be entertaining in the canyons. Something similar to this.
There is a thread here with numerous cafe racer Sportsters.

Ok, dropped off the GSXR triple and the Softail triple at the shop today to swap the Harley stem into the GSXR triple.
I checked the UPS tracking site and my front end is "out for delivery"

Hey, I think the twine holding the swingarm on and the ratchet through the steering head should be fine at highway speeds, no wobble or nothin!!!

I am gonna run the short shot pipes that are on there. That rear end is going to be sold. One pain in the *** with this type of bike building is that you dont know what will work unless you buy it and try and fit it. The 1000RR arm is too big and wide to fit in the frame. It would require machine work to get in and then chain run and wheel would also need tweaking. the $$$ would add up quick.
On the other hand a 600RR swinger is an inch or two narrower, will fit in the frame with no machine work. Then the arm just needs to be centered and hard mounted. Also, I will run a 180 tire on the 600 wheel rather than the 190 on the 1000RR. The 600 arm will fit just like the gixxer arm I had mocked in there earlier. The reason the CBR arm is preferred is the top shock mount does not have to be built.
So the 600 arm and parts are on the way, $150.00 total, just have to pick a wheel. I think that would be cheaper than trying to get the 1000 arm and wheel to work.
