Finally got around to uploading the pictures of the Mustang Vintage Solo with removable back rest and the passanger pad with HD sissy bar and Mustange pad. If you are thinking about getting a new seat and are debating on wehther or not to get a backrest. GET THE BACKREST.
tail11,
Do you put the easy bracket on with your bags or are they fully mounted? I am looking into get some backs but do not want them on all the time. I was also checking out ghost brackets.
Real nice looking Firestarter. That's exactly what I've decieded on for my Deuce except that I already have the passenger HD backrest. Is that the wide or narrow pad for the passenger? And did you go right through Mustang or someone else. Did get their catalog and their offering 10 percent off til the end of Feb. Hey, I used to mess around Dumfries a "few" years ago. Was stationed at Quantice MCB from 1974 to 1976. Thanks
I order through a wholesaler at kronners.com I have used them for a lot of stuff, I have average 9-15% below the catalog price for the items. Mustange catolog for the vintage solo with backrest was 479, Kronners was 443. So almost 10%. If mustang is having a sale you might do better from them. Passanger pad was 140, sissy bar pad was 138. Those are all the Kronners prices.
Good luck with the seat.

Seat looks great. That's exactly the setup I'm looking to get. Mind if I ask where you got it & how much it costs?
cdestuck,
That is the narrow passanger pad and I got it through Kronners. You might do better with a sale at Mustang.
Quantico was my last duty station when I retired after 20 years in 1999. Ended up staying in the area and now I am a defense contractor. What did you do in the Corps? I was a grunt and a recon guy. Had a blast, would go back tomorrow if they would let me.

I was over on the air station with HMX-1. Did Presidential Security for Pres Ford. In fact my White House clearance was approved the day Nixon resigned. Really enjoyed the Corp, but got out to become a police officer here in Pa (retired now). About 5 five years after getting out of the Corp, I did go into the Army Reserves for one year (Unit was only a mile from my house). Yea, right! That one year then became 23 years, got out in 2002 and then in 2004, was called back into the Reserves from the IRR. Sent to the Middle East for a year at the age of 50. NOW in the Retired Reserves so I'm safe from any more deployments. Gotta love the military. Thanks for your info on the seats.
