I have a 2009 crossbones. Stage one air cleaner, bubs pipes and V&H fuelpak. Looking for more horsepower, not sure what I should start with. Any suggestions??

Big bore kit. Change the jugs pistons cams. Don't bore out just buy new jugs more reliable.

Loose the fuel pak it is very limited, SERT or Power Commander (talk to your dyno guy)

Install a cam (talk to your dyno guy on which one) and have it dyno tuned.

Cams and Flow the Heads. You could keep the same displacement. cams will make some more HP but opening up the heads letting the engine breath along with the cams will make a huge difference. This along with a Dyno tune to maximize HP

You really need to decide what your goal is for power (hp/torque and what type of pwer band). Then consider what you are able/willing to pay.

Check out Fuel Moto. They have some nice kits for decent $$.

Tman Performance is good also. This guy knows how to make horsepower.

First, get a real tuner. In my mind, that's a Power Vision, TTS or ThunderMax. These days, the Power Vision is the most user-friendly, versatile unit available, out of the three. Next step, good cam that will leave room for further building such as, the Wood TW-555 or 777. This will give you the most performance per dollar spent. If you are still unsatisfied, as the cliche goes, "there is no replacement for displacement" - get a big bore kit and some head work done while you're at it. That is about the best you can do, short of replacing the entire motor.

I did 555 cams with Power Vision, nice improvement over stage 1 upgrades, looking into a nice 2 into 1 now.

How much do U want to spend??

Some cams and a better tuner with a good dyno makes most people happy unless U want to have the fastest bike in Ur group..

Have U looked at the - Dyno Numbers for Softail - thread

Theres a bunch of post in there where members shows their sheets and and what they did to get the Number they got.
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...-softails.html

Look through them and see what U like and then go for it.
