I bought a distress sale 2003 Duece with 42K miles and some worn/scratched chrome around the back wheel from bags. It is in fair condition, but runs and rides well, new battery, plugs, tires.
Couple questions. How much is this thing worth? 6-7K???? It is dirty, has a thin coat oil/dirt on the engine case. Can I use a high pressure sprayer and some degreaser to hose it down?
I also want to change the fluids, is there a DIY section for this bike?
Runs and rides great, surprised its actually pretty quick in comparison to my 1200 sporty.
Get a good engine degreaser let it soak and a good garden hose sprayer should clean it up well...
As far as fluids, close to same as ur sporty, drain plug under oil tank on frame. Drain and add 3 quarts,.
primary same as sporty drain plug underneath remove cover add a quart put cover on.
Now tranny. Drain plug between the shocks underneath. Drain and add a quart fill plug is on top on exhaust side
