What can I say ? I just love my Deluxe, fills every need I have and looks great. Went from a Street Bob to the Deluxe a few months ago and I have never looked back

I think the Deluxe was the perfect choice for me. I wanted more power as well as comfort as oppose to what I was getting from my Sporty and the Deluxe did just that. I can't say anything bad about the deluxe other than all that I'm about to throw into upgrades. (Shotgun shocks is the next investment).

I'm 6'1" put Kuryakyn foot extensions on and it's perfect. I love the look, and how easy it is to customize it to fit your needs. I also have a detatchable fairing that changes the look too

My only complaint would be the rear pillion was useless for the OL and had to buy the touring one which is perfect

I have to agree with some of the other's that have replied. I like the bike but at 5'10" the stock seat puts me way to far forward. It is very uncomfortable on long trips, 5-6 hrs per day. I have a LePera solo and it positions me in a much more comfortable posture. I wouldn't mind getting my stock seat shaved if I could find someone to do it. Nevertheless I really like the bike.

My sons love it as much as I do- we fight over who gets to ride it. Way more fun than riding the Ultra.

Six foot here with short legs. Fits perfect for me. Been itching to try one of these seats on it for comparison;

I love mine. Other folks on here don't seem to go for it. Guess it's too much like a Heritage without all the bling, but it suits me just fine.

Well, mine's an old one, so it was called the "Special" back then. I've had it for 19 years, and love it more every time I ride it.

IMO...

My 07 SG is definitely my 1st choice when I know I'm going to ride long. At 5'8" and a 32" inseam I have plenty of room to move around....but I picked a HD Brawler seat which looks nicer than it feels. Overall the bike plows through seams/stutters and potholes in most roads. There certainly are days when I know before going out that I'll enjoy having a fairing and lowers in front of me for less fatique from the elements. Also it is just easier putting miles on a bike that feels much more planted to the pavement at highway speeds!

My 12 Deluxe is obviously a bit lighter but does not feel as nimble at lower speeds....though it is still a dream to ride with it's stock suspension up to about 65-70mph. Shorter wheel base is noticeable and welcome on shorter rides.

One funny thing.. maybe its bc I have a tall windshield on the Softail pushing alot of air inefficiently but it is twitchy, a problem never experienced on the bagger unless its way over in a fast turn and gets the pre '09 'wobble'.

If I had to pick one or the other it would be a RG. jk

Actually, the Deluxe has the longer wheelbase;

64.5" vs. 63.5"
