I wouldnt trade mine for anything. It wasnt the most comfortable bike when I first got it, but I have to say that the C&C seat with detachable backrest, and the crash bar with hwy pegs made all the difference in the world. Oh, and the beach bars. I can ride all day and night now with no fatigue. I have found that it seems no matter what model you buy, you do need to make it fit you. Most people seem to change the seat and handlebars to suit them. The rest is just styling. So if you want a softail and you like studs, get the heritage, if you dont like studs, get the deluxe, and if you like silly looking front fenders, get the fatboy.

I doubt you're gonna hear too many owners complaining about their own bikes, but I dig the hell outta mine! 2013, had it for about a month - 1200 miles so far, a bunch of mods, and I get compliments on her everywhere I go...

Not much but still . . .

Those are '13 specs(though they match my '07) Sorry I never mentioned that my SG is lowered 1" up front. Doesn't lowering a bikes front end shorten the wheel base just a little bit.?

+1 on that............studs not my thing, I had my stock seat recovered (in leather) and had the studs removed in the process.

In addition to my last post my last bike was a Heritage Classic. It was ok around town but it was a dog out on the highway. It's not that I raced it around or anything it just didn't seem to have the get up and go I like to have when needed. Now with this Deluxe and mods done to it, its the best bike I ever rode and even with that it was getting boring to ride. I then put this shotgun shock on it and I have never had more fun riding then I do now. It's like a new and different bike every time I ride it or make different adjustments to it. It's SO fun slamming it when I pull up and into a crowd, I get tons of looks, tons of questions and tons of uhhs and ahhs. I agree with the one post here, almost any bike requires personal touches to make it your own and to better fit you, your likes and your needs.
