Thanks Motown this is great. I added it to my eBay watch list. I just have a few more questions that have been raised on this thread before I pull the trigger on it.
1) I'd like to see a picture of the switch you installed, and a few instructions on which wire and how to get to it.

Im storing my bike in my buddies garage this winter, I got tired of scraping snow off my car in the winter. I cant get a pic right now.
Its exactly like the passing lamp switch but an inch or so higher. I used the clymer manual to find the headlight hot wire and just wired it up and drilled a hole in the cover.
If you dont have a manual you can find the hot at the socket, it will be the one that jumps over to the passing lamps (if your bike came with passing lamps from the factory)

Brought my bike back home this week and Im starting mods this weekend so maybe I will throw the new Adjure housing in a snap a few pics. I was waiting for the tri bar passing lamps to come but they are being drop shipped so who knows...

I put in the Harley halogen dish I needed because I have sealed beam headlights, while at Harley I bought the halogen passing lamps also. I ordered the HID kit and am just waiting for it. I do think the halogens I put on are an improvement though. But $28.00 for the HID kit you can't go wrong, if its doesn't work out who gives a sheet.....

Had a problem yesterday. Blew a fuse starting the bike (running light fuse) I think it was because I had just ridden awhile so the ballast was warm. I stopped somewhere for a couple minutes and when I went to restart the bike the ballast tripped its internal thermal protection circuit and it modulated on and off as the bike was turning over. The modulation caused the lamp ignition to reignite over and over again which i believe overloaded the fuse with repeated amp spiking.
I installed an on/off switch for the headlamp above my passing light switch on the back of my tree covers. I will just turn the headlight on after I start the bike and this should solve the issue. It cranks super strong now without the headlight and passing lamps on pulling juice during starting...all bikes should have a headlight switch!

Hey Motown, could you post a pic of the switch setup you did for the HID conversion? mine is coming today and I want o get an idea on how to hook it up. Also if you can give me an idea on what wire to put the switch on/into.... thanks for the help, if you can't, no problem....

The plugs can be reversed so that the light can work on both positive and negatively switched systems...if it doesnt turn on or if the high beam doesnt light when you hit the switch you will have to flip the plugs around until you get the right combination. You cant hurt the unit like this so no worries

Cool man, Thanks. I read that on the E-bay site they have. I meant the on/off switch you installed near your running light switch.... lol
