Default fluid on clutch cable.

hi' everyone
Came home from a ride sunday and while i was wiping down my 2011 fatboy lo i notice some fluid on the clutch cable meash guess it protects the cable near the transmission like it's seaping from somewhere but can really put my finger on just where it's coming from. I looked in the parts catalog and noticed that there is a o-ring on the end of the cable on the inside. I'm wondering if it could be leaking from there like i said can't really tell where it's coming from cause it's really not a lot where it's dripping. I'm new to all this so i'm wondering if i can take the cover off without draining the fluid are i need to drain it first, if so guess i can wait till my oil change coming up at 5,000 mile mark. Any input would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

This same thing happen to me a while back. There is a vent tube on top of your tranny that is about 1.5" black rubber or hard plastic and when that becomes clogged, oil will start draining out of your clutch cable. Just find the tube and unclog it with a small screw and you should be good to go. Look under your oil tank, I was told this happens to bikes that come from a humid area. Hope that works for you.

Interesting.... I never heard that. I'll have to check my tranny.
