softail springer classic, do these numbers sound right???
I recently bought this used softail that was orignally from a calorado dealer. It has the 95" big bore kit,211 cam,se stage 1 air cleaner and 2 into 1 kerker exhaust. Since the bike came from a dealer out there I wanted to be sure it was running correctly on the dyno. I also removed the fiberglass in the muffler but left the metal baffle, again wanted to see if tha was hurting anything. It runs great and pulls harder than my previous dynas with the 88. My numbers where 71hp and 86pounds of torque. Wondering if that is normal for my parts? Because if I'm not mistaken stock is 63 hp and torque is 85. seems to me mine should be more. Also my gas milage is around 30 to 35 at best. Again stock saying 45 to 50. I'm not stock but a 15 mile diffrence is huge. I only get about 155 miles out of a tank.
I wil check when I get home to the report. But he said it was a bit rich. It was just under the dotted line.from what iv leared rich is better than lean. Said that it should hurt anything. Kind got the feeling he didn't ant to mess with it though.
I've got an 05 with a carb. Still 88" but I'm using 211 cams, SE high flow AC and a Thunderheader 2 into 1. I'm getting the same HP and TQ numbers as you but my gas mileage is a pretty consistent 45 MPG.
EDIT...Check that. I was getting the same numbers as you with the Thunderheader and the high flow AC prior to installing the cams. I've since installed the 211's and haven't had it on the dyno since doing so. I'm thinking my numbers are probably better than yours.
I have the se race tuner. From what I'm told it the orignal one. Without the red button.
Yeah iron ***, I figure with my intake and exhaust alone I would gain close to 10 and then even more with the bore and cams.... going to a diffrent place this weekend to have it run again. This dyno has the load on the drum and this guy seems a lot more knowledgable.
From what I ead I should be getting 85 hp and close to 100pound of torque. Or does the 95 inch bore not do as much as I had hoped.
Then they where just giving me what it was at the time. I'm takinging to actaully get tuned this weekend depending on what this other dyno reads. I just don't understand how with all those mods I have, it comes up with close to 88in stock numbers.

When you get done with the dyno post the results up, there is a sticky in the softail forum for dyno sheets. Lots of knowledgeable guys in there able to help you out if things still don't look right.
