Is there a torque spec when putting the spark plugs back in? I didn't see it in the manual.

i know there is..but i tighten them down until they're snug, then give it a little extra tug.. hasn't let me astray yet.

Sarge, I just got a 5/8 spark plug socket from harbor freight and it looks like the socket is not deep enough to reach. Am I missing something here?

there should be a rubber bit, or a plastic bit inside the socket that goes over the actual socket (like the plug wire would) to keep from snapping the spark plug..does it have that? can you take a picture of what you bought?

yeah that's the right one, just push it down over the spark plug and give it a twist

Received. Ill give it another shot tomorrow morning. I guess I have to force the socket down onto the spark plug a bit more.

12-18ft lbs. per the service manual. It's on page 1-44 fyi.

I didn't mess with the push rods this time around. I'm gonna see how it looks with just the rocker covers powder coated black. Then ill make a decision on wether I wanna do the pushrod covers or not.
