put the pushrods back in with the top half of the rocker box covers off (so you can see the tips of them sticking out)..
(yeah i know, the bottle covers are off in that photo...but you get the idea)..
remove the spark plugs so the air can escape from the cylinders.. jack the back wheel up, throw her in 6th(or 5th for 5 speeds), and just spin the rear tire until the pushrods are in their lowest position (it's move obvious than you think)..
Thank you Sarge! Doesn't get any easier then that! Lol. Do I need any special tools to remove. The spark plugs?
The one I use on my bike is the same socket I use on my car.. my new socket set (merry christmas to me from me) came with 4 different spark plug sockets.. but the 5/8" is pretty standard... doesn't even have to be craftman or buy it online..there's tons of them out there.
we coat tube all the time... mine have been done for years with no issues
tappet blocks
push rod tubes
I wanted to bump this because I just got my gauge console, ignition switch, fuel cap and fuel gauge back from these guys, and they did an amazing job. I was really amazed at how nice they look, and the quick turn around.
Only question I have now is. I am going to be taking off the rocker box covers, and push rod tubes to send in for PC. Can the tappet block covers just be removed without doing anything to cams? Or do those 4 bolts on the tappet covers do more than just hold the push rod tubes?

nope..if you're taking the rockerboxes off, the pushrods out and tubes, the tappet covers just come right off..you'll need new gaskets for them though, and maybe new o-rings

Thank you sir. Gonna go to Lowes and Home Depot tomorrow to look for one.
