Or you could do like I do, get a barrel bag for the bars that blocks a lot of the wind. Works for me. Apes and big windshield just don't mix...
Anubisss do you have a pic of the barrel bag you use and where you got it? I have a 5 day trip planned in April and I would like to not use the windshield now that I have the apes on my Heritage.
It is a t-bags barrel bag. It is black material, not leather. IF you are concerned about scratches on the nacelle, you could sew some sweatshirt material to it right there, but I don't think there are any scratches on mine. I could be mistaken though. http://www.tbags.com/detail.aspx?ID=49&SelectedCat=2 Mine is similar to this, but made to mount to the bars. I fyouare concerned about scratching the nacelle, get a sissybar and a roll bag or a tbag for that. I have a sissybar bag I also use for long trips. It works great...It is not a tbag, i think it is jafrum.
It is kinda hard to see the bag, but you get the feel for it. Oh yewah, that was when my bike was still silver. LOL...And it had different pipes.
Thanks for the link. I have a sissybar and rack that can be utilized, but we're talking wind deflection, so I'll have to search for one for the bars (unless this link can be used in both). Point being, thanks for the link!
No prob. I forgot all about the wind deflection thing. Yeah, that was the point, right. I'm a little slow sometimes...Enjoy...As far as that goes, it keps all the wind off of my chest...
I dont like windshields wih apes at all,but sometimes it could come in handy for long rides.I was wondering if anyone has any info on those shields that attach to the bars themselves.
