Yes it has a small o-ring inside on the toggle to keep water out of the housing...the connections are inside my tree covers.

Splicing into your harness is no big deal as long as everything gets sealed up nice and tight but I guess you could do it at the plug as well. Use proper gauge wire and make good connections and you should have no problems.

Is the back of the bucket easy for you to reach? If not it will **** you off after a week or so...lol

Well I just ran into a big problem. I was dry fitting everything and the hid bulb housing is to long and won't fit into the headlight bucket. So now I either have to find a new bucket it will fit in or scrap the idea.

Ok new question. I got my extension (blue and white) hooked them up, soldiered in extensions for the headlight plug and hooked everything up and the hid lit up like it should of. Now my next question. I see a lot of people only use lo beam. Do you guys use the lo and hi beams? And if you don't use the high rather than mounting a toggle switch what did I just didn't hook up the high beam and just the my high on the bars as the on and off? Would that work?

I use the hi and lo...when I ride in the country at night its a must for me (deer)

Yes, taking the hi beam off of power will in effect make it an off switch in high beam position.

There are two hot wires that come into the stock headlight plug, one for high and one for low. In my harness I think my lo is yellow. Cut the hi power and terminate the end.

Thats why passing lamps go out when you hit your hi beam (without a bypass) they are wired to the low beam hot wire.
