Pretty cheep part for peice of mind! Ive gone through 43 OEM starter clutches and a clutch basket before I went aftermarket and all is good now. Its my opinion that the OEM comp gives those starter clutches hell. Do you have the SE comp yet?

No, the engine is as it came from the factory other than exhaust and intake. I am looking through my service manual to learn what to do next, I am really not looking forward to removing the starter.

I gotta run but its not that bad to change. If I recall maybe 2 hours if you havnt done it before.

Oh and take a good look at AllBalls starter clutch. Its pretty good. And if you are getting the dredded starter bang at start up look at the SE compensator.

It wasn't too bad to change, the hardest part was getting the rear exhaust pipe out
I have Samson true dual, very tight fit
