I am 5'9". I have 16" apes. It really depends on how far pushed up or pulled back you have them. Either way, my arms are above my shoulders. I love mine, but I would say 14" would be very comfortable.

I don't know if the OP stated or not if he had ABS on his bike but you really need to watch to make sure you get the right brake line in the kits. I tried to go that route and ended up getting the Diamond Black brake line from HD and the rest of my cables from magnumshielding.

Slim12 - burly kit comes with namz extensions. That's what I used for my 16" Wild1 Chubbys. I'm 6'4" and I'm super comfortable - in fact I could have gone 2" higher. IMO 14" is the way you to go. If you go shorter you will 100% regret it in no time.
