Ok, so I just got my Lo back from the HD shop, and I was told there is some free play in the shifting still. I was told to ride it around and it should work itself out.
I'm confused as heck to be honest. I tried to do a little video showing...
Basically when I shift from first to second, and up and up, once it goes to the next gear I have to actually move the shift lever down some before it will allow it to shift to the next gear. The same problem when I'm down shifting.
could possibly be a really easy fix. pull the shifter off and check the pivot shaft for the shift levers. not on the tranny, up by your foot. could possibly just be corrosion binding up the rotation enough to prevent it from springing back correctly. some emery cloth on the shaft, or maybe some WD-10 might help out.
Thank ya'll very much. I'll keep reading and try the suggestions. I just confused as to why they wouldn't have done this there, but I'm now just confused lol.
They didn't do anything cuz they have less of an idea than you. If the above suggestions don't work, and I hope they do, the return spring in the trans may be broken.

What does that mean? I'm not understanding that part lol. I'm like a kid at times lol.
You're confused as to why they didn't do anything like what was suggested in here. I'm saying they didn't because they don't know what they are doing. And you're paying those guys $80/hr. At least the abuse and help you get in here is free!

Ahhh! I gotcha. Thanks for being nice and explaining it. Its hard to understand things at times for me lol. My teenager gets to be my interpreter of crap I can't grasp at times lol.
