Default samson fishtail alignment help

I just install 36 fishtail on a 2006 fatboy.

The right and left side are not alignment, the two are turn about 2 or 3 degree.

Do you have any input how to align them ?

It took me a while to mess with it but I picked a side and locked it down then fanagled the other to get it lined up. It was a major pain in the *** though, I found it best to lock down the left side first then working back to front set the right side.

I did left side first because I wanted as much of the second pipe into the head pipe as I could get and not have it move, plus its a pain to get to that allen bolt. Right side is easier to mess with since it's just loosening the flange nuts and bracket.

gotta keep everything loose and line them up little by little... the bracket that attaches to the pipe, can allow the pipe to twist ever so slightly..

mine was a PITA to install also. couldnt get them to line up...so i laid the brackets on the floor flat and behold... i actually had one warped bracket...which i sent back (samson confirmed it was in fact warped) and sent me a new one.

i also used a couple of flat washers inbetween the brackets and the frame (on the front bolts only) to even out the closeness to the tire.
