Default Deuce owners

Few questions for the deuce owners.

1. After hours of riding, it seems like I get a neck pain with minor middle shoulder pain... I was told it's the stock Deuce bars. To go a different set of bars, that it's a common complaint? Is it?

2. What's a common aftermarket seat most find comfortable? I've looked at Mustang's website. Heard good things about their seats.

I get mild shoulder pain depending on how I ride and for how long. It's mainly because of the reach for me. I'm 5'10" - 5'11".
The HD Sundowner seat actually came on my bike. I have experience with three different seats, the Sundowner, the stock Duece seat, and the LePera Bare Bones. The Sundowner is of course the most comfortable. It doesn't win in the looks department, but it has great support and I could spend all day on it with a passenger.

I don't have any problems with the stock handle bars. They actually fit quite perfectly for me. I really don't care for their look though. I recently got a set of Rocker C bars that I'm going to put on.

I have the LePera Barebones seat also. I usually don't ride for more than a couple of hours at a time. At first it was kinda painful to sit in it for more than 30 minutes, but I got used to it. I'm doing the Heartland 250 kit in the next couple of months, so I'll be switching to their seat soon.

loosen your bar clamp up and rotate your bars up to where you feel comfortable, then readjust your clutch and brake handle. it will make a world of difference without spending the coin on bars.

Even with 1-1/2"-2" risers, mine don't come back far enough.

Im not sure what the stock bars feel like. Mine came with a Road king type bar on the stock risers and they sucked. I felt like the throttle and clutch was next to my waist. Tried Night Train stock drags with the stock risers and that caused neck and back pain. Now i have a set of RSD 1.5'' risers with 10'' mini apes from a Street Bob and I believe its a Drag spec solo seat (has no Tag) and I can ride all day with no pain. I picked up a set of Carlini 1.5'' sweeps with a 9'' rise Im going to try next year and see what I like better, but Im not sure it will beat the mini apes for comfort.

Stock bars on my Deuce are okay, not the best for ergonomics but good enough for the ~4 hour long rides I've taken so far. However, I'm 6'4" and have a long reach so take that with a grain of salt. I have some stock 12" mini-apes from a friends' Dyna and some 2" risers that I'll be swapping out to. Hoping for some long distance rides this summer and want to be comfy while riding (so a Sundowner is also on the list)...

This is where to start if you dont want to replce the bars. I have the stock bars and find them to be comfortable. I just don't care for the looks of them so right now I am thinking T Bars.

Thank you sir, I'll look into the LePera Bare Bones and the Sundowner. I'm just wanting a seat that I can ride on for 4+ hours.

I actually picked up a set of 10" mini apes on here, from a street bob. I was going to go with the same setup you have. I'm glad too here it's very comfortable!

Thanks for all the replies guys. I guess I have a few seats too look at and some new cable length testing to do.
