I leave for work at daybreak when it's still a little dark and when I set off my new speedo back lighting is on, then half way to work as it's getting light the back light automatically turns off, and in my opinion a little too early because it's not light enough outside to see the LCD display - I cover the speedo with my hand and the back lighting comes back on.
Anyone know if the user can adjust when the back lighting switches, or just set it so that it stays on ?

It took many weeks to get this straightened out but it was worth the wait. Finally got the replacement speedo today. This one worked like it should, no problems on the install. Took it out for a ride and I love it! The tach is easy to view when riding, some thought it might be too small but it's not. Now to figure out what color to make the displays.
Recently purchased this Speedo for my 2007 FXSTC. It freezes at 96% and will not marry to the ECM. The speedo on it now is a HD upgraded speedo that is not working properly, it sticks at 10-15 mph often and has to be reset by restarting the bike. Any ideas?
I believe for an 07 you have to take both speedos to your local Harley dealer for calibration...the ECM on an 07 does not store mileage
My 06 fxst had no problems calibrating. Mileage was correct too. Done in my garage. Also dealers don't reinstate mileage. The older replacement speedos are calibrated at the moco.
