`Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "shotgun shock"?
badger congrats, I've been on the fence and I believe all the reviews but I seeing it in person would more than likely make my mind up. BTW I see your from BR I'm in St. Charles Parish.
A shotgun shock is a air ride system for softails that allows you to Taylor fit the ride and ride height to your preference. 504engineer I live in central a little north of BR if you would like to see it work in person give me a shout and we can get together somewhere. I go time bike night at twin peaks most Thursday nights weather permitting
Gee, I couldn't have said it any better!!! I am now more "technically" informed and wiser about the Shotgun Shock and the SAS air ride systems now. I still know little about the Legend system but to be honest I have no need too. The Shotgun is the superior air ride system that is out on the market today. I have heard the reason for going with the SAS system is funds, cost. If I am not mistaken the SAS is more expensive than the Shotgun Shock. There is nothing out on the market today that can hold a candle to the Shotgun Shock and its ability to be finely tuned while going down the road and on the fly. I do not knock anyone who has gone with something other than the SS. I am just stating fact borne out by the engineering, design and the capabilities of 1 system over the other. I have also heard people say that they are happy with just setting it and leaving it. I change my ride suspension, 20, 30 times a day if not more. ANY air ride system is better than the stock shocks but if it were not for the capabilities of the SS I wouldn't own it or any other system. It wouldn't serve my needs at all. I have to use it just to get in and out of my driveway.

Saw in another thread that you won one! Congrats you'll love it I know I do. Softail shocks are such a pain in the *** to adjust that I pretty much never touched the stock system but now I'm always adjusting on the fly as road conditions dictate or if I have a passenger or not. Now your gonna need to bust a move on the softail challenge thread and make the next challenge your bike slammed instead of with glasses on seat.
Oh yeah and there's the whole cool factor, one flick of a switch and everyone around you is jealous.

Not only that but I have to think about upgrading the front end now too.
It'd be a shame to not do it all at once.
I'm already thinking about Ricor Intiminators & 5W synth for the front.
Leaving the front end bone stock would be an insult to the Shotguns.
