Its been a long time since I've posted. But i recently decided to replace my horn on my 08 Deluxe with a vintage siren. I've seen this on a few bikes out here and some pictures on the fourm. I just want some input on the install from anyone who has done this project?
1. Will my siren bolt right to stock bracket?
2.Will it also just match up with wires. Do I need to modify anything?
If I understand your question correctly you want to replace your stock Deluxe horn with the old style springer horn?
Well I've just purchased one of those horns for my Deluxe and can tell you a couple things that I've been told.
1st - the old style horn will be almost inaudible.. you won't be able to hear it over your bike at idle
2nd - It will mount to the existing bracket with only 1 small modification, you will have to open up the hole in the bracket a small amount for the horn post to fit thru, then just bolt it on.
As far as the volume problem goes I plan on adding a small hide away loud horn to actually use for that... something like this
