Contacted V&H regarding the map file availability and cylinder head temp. First of all, they flat out refused to provide a Big Radius 2:1 map file because I am "using the part on something for which it was not intended." That's pretty rediculous in my opinion given that the map file shouldn't vary a hell of a lot (if any) between a breakout, slim, lo, or whatever else has a 103. I would recommend against buying a fp3 to anyone that wants more customization than they can get with the generic iphone app configurations. Instead, he recommended doing exactly what i did - start with the 2:2 map and autotune from there. Regarding engine temps, he stated that 300-320 was normal at the cylinder. It's hard to pin that number down, I've seen a lot of variance when researching. I need to get an oil temp dipstick. That's a more common and well understood measurement.

Hence the reason I told you to connect your Power Vision for the head temp.

300-320 is not normal for cruising around in 70 degree weather. The FP3 is almost a good tuner. If they would just work on it a little more before sending it out. And I think it is laughable at best that they won't do a map for an exhaust they make that does fit. The map on the Breakout will be slightly different because of the much larger back tire. Takes more power to turn it, and puts more load on the engine.

For those who are looking to buy a new breakout this may be of value to help the negotiating process

Yes, I know, but I am not curious enough to know head temperature to convince myself to remove the tank to run the PV2 wiring under it, and buy a mount that will hold the PV2 in place as I motor down the road, and probably mark up my bars doing so. It just isn't that important for me to know the head temperature. I know it can't be too high, because the oil runs so cool now.

Got a question for the group...

Does anyone have an ABS equipped Breakout with a Shotgun Shock AND an Oil Bud oil cooler?

Default Got a mustang 2 up = cheap ya! but beater than stock 2 up

I bought it for $369 and I think it looks better than stock, and cheaper than custom.
I live in Gilroy and have custom seats made by Corbin before, but didn't want to dump the cash.

I haven't ridden it yet, but it feels better than stock.

What do u guys think?
