Jim, does that Corbin passenger come off to make it a solo? If so have any pics of it like that?
No, the rider and passenger portions are both on one base.
I prefer it this way, as I always want the passenger seat portion on there to support either my HD day bag or my HD roller touring bag. However, Corbin is very flexible in their configurations, so I would not be surprised to hear that you could get it as 2 pieces.
Corbin seats with their high quality are very costly - they start at about $575 for a combination driver plus passenger. Mine, which has a lot of appearance customizations and the electric heat was just over $800 with shipping. But, it looks and feels like a million bucks, and is superbly comfortable.
A vacation and then my wife's work pressures have prevented HER from testing the passenger portion yet, but I have a 1000 miles on the driver portion. Like so many other buyers of Corbin seats, my first reaction was "this is a firm and dense seat". However, it is superbly comfortable. I also love the choices I had on textures and styles (the "asphalt" finish on the sides and back of the driver portion go particularly well with my metal flake silver paint). It absolutely drips with quality when you examine and touch it, and the electric heat in the driver's portion is nice for the upcoming winter.
